STATEMENT OF FACT:
There are many rumors that need to be dispelled and replaced with facts.
The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science had to terminate two instructors and two staff members January 13, 2025. For reasons of confidentiality, we will not discuss why the personnel were terminated.
We have the instructors needed to deliver the curriculum, including President Lechner. The students will receive the same level of dedication, professionalism and expertise from the current instructors.
We’ve worked very hard to develop the sound curriculum that yields the positive results evidenced by our higher-than-average NBE first time pass rates. Regardless of who delivers the curriculum, we will ensure it is delivered at the highest level.
CCMS is financially sound. Our independent audit for this past year, just submitted on December 26, 2024, received an “unmodified opinion” which is the highest audit rating possible.
Contrary to rumors – CCMS has not hired anyone at this point. Hiring actions will take place in the future.
