Silver Creek Mortuary is looking for a full-time employee. A Funeral Director Apprentice duties include but are not limited to: the placing of floral arrangements, greeting attendees at funeral services and visitations, driving and operating fleet cars (including hearse), helping with the funeral service, cleaning at funeral home, helping with the preparation of decedents, sitting in on arrangements, working alongside fellow staff members to provide the best care possible.

Eligible Applicants must also be pursuing a Mortuary Science Degree at an American Board of Funeral Service Education accredited college.
Job responsibilities:
Funeral Director/Intern Position** 1. **Preparation of Deceased:** - Perform embalming and body preparation in accordance with legal and ethical standards. - Ensure proper care and presentation of the deceased for viewings and funerals. 2. **Funeral Planning:** - Assist families in making arrangements for services, including selecting caskets, urns, and memorial items. - Provide guidance on burial or cremation options, and discuss associated costs. 3. **Service Coordination:** - Organize and oversee funeral services, including memorials, viewings, and graveside ceremonies. - Coordinate logistics such as transportation, venue setup, and floral arrangements. 4. **Administrative Duties:** - Prepare and file necessary legal documents, including death certificates and burial permits. - Maintain accurate records of services provided and manage financial transactions. 5. **Family Support: ** - Offer compassionate support to grieving families, answering questions and addressing concerns. - Provide resources for grief counseling and other supportive services. 6. **Collaboration: ** - Work closely with other staff members, including embalmers, administrative personnel, and grief counselors. - Build relationships with local organizations, cemeteries, and service providers. 7. **Community Outreach Participate in community events to promote funeral services and educate the Public
