Emergency Financial Aid Policy
In effect May 2020
Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science (CCMS) is committed to supporting students' financial needs during time of hardship and global emergency through pursuit of government relief grants where available. The college will pursue and apply for available federal and state funds when qualified and in the best interest of the institution and student body.
Grant and relief fund allocations under the fiduciary care of the college are distributed in compliance with federal and state requirements, the Department of Education Federal Financial Aid guidelines, and college policy and procedures.
CCMS is committed to protecting the confidentiality of student records in our possession. We retain student records in compliance with both state and federal law, in particular with the Family Education Right and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Requesting Emergency Financial Assistance - CARES Act, HERRF I and II

All students enrolled as of March, 27, 2020 and March 17, 2021 were eligible to receive the allocated assistance under the CARES Act, HERRF I and II. All monies were divided equally and distributed to all eligible students on June 19, 2020 and March 17, 2021. Questions regarding eligibility and criteria for emergency assistance may be directed to the Vice President at mivey@ccms.edu.
Submitting a Request or Decline for Assistance
Deadline June 15, 2020 @ 12:00pm
All enrolled students as of March 27, 2020 must complete and submit online form (03.10.DOC1) Emergency Financial Aid Student Award Directive below by noon Monday, June 15, 2020 whether you wish to request or decline assistance. Questions may be directed to mivey@ccms.edu.
